Our business has been established by many countries around the world recognising the growing problems of the increased levels of greenhouse gases. In 1997 these countries signed up to the Kyoto Protocol which agreed to set measures to reduce CO2 emissions. It has been recognised that buildings are responsible for almost 50% of all energy consumed in the UK, which makes it vital that we make our buildings more energy efficient. To this end measures are being applied across all the European Union countries to fall in line with the European Directive for the Energy Performance of Buildings. Similar to the USA and Europe, the UK will be starting to require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) on all property by late 2008.
